Early yes, but while I had it on my mind, I thought I'd bring it up.
In one of the Dwarven books, they talk about Faskin and Gardul. I have no idea if GM's had any plans for having these places exist. In the book it said "when they still stood". The settlements themselves might be little more than ruins, or might be overlayed with another town. The piping in the story, however, might still be there.
"devised a method that allowed them
to transmit written messages over great distances,
using iron tubes pressurized by steam. These tubes
were sent through pipes crafted by the Gardulfolk,
pipes of silver-flecked black alabaster, and it was
said that they alone were a work of art."
If these pipes end up being placed in the game, then there could be many jobs to go along with them.
Repair of the pipes, cleaning the pipes, operating the pipes, mining fuel for the pipes.
Like I said, I know this would be something far in the future, but I might forget later on.
