>l arm
The carapace armor is cracked and brittle, with runny, sickly-green liquid congealing on its surface.
The armor would be perfectly shaped, if not for the unusual ridges which line its surface. Most of the odd bumps appear to be formed of insect-like legs, fused together to create a solid, waxy-black shape.
I like that the first line changes but I'm wondering if it's scaled correctly.
So far I've seen:
1)The carapace armor is in flawless condition.
2)The carapace armor bears numerous cracks etched deeply across its form.
3)The carapace armor is oozing grey-green liquid from several gaping scars.
4)The carapace armor is cracked and brittle, with runny, sickly-green liquid congealing on its surface.
All while the appraisal showed as pristine condition. Finally went down to mint condition and haven't noticed any new changes.
Is it based on damage and scaled incorrectly or based on something else?

So quite a long time ago, some of these were about. I no longer recall the progeny, but I do recall various theories about them supposedly boosting exp gain or processing in one gay or another (Perhaps due to the "dragons of the mind" reference), and because I had piles of money lying around I picked one up. I wonder whether anything has been learned since.
>look small book
The slim quarto volume is bound in glossy, dark brown leather with a pebbled, almost scaly texture to it. Its few pages are edged in gold, and a red silk ribbon is sewn into the binding. An unmistakeable aura of magic surrounds the book. Your fingers are drawn to it almost involuntarily, and you feel a strong conviction that the first person to rub the book will forge a special bond with it. It is now closed.
>open my small book
You open the small book.
>read my small book
What is it that you want to read?
>read book
You'll have to select one of the book's five pages to read it.

>read page 1
You open the book to the first page. The leaf is a creamy vellum, around which sinuous shapes in forest green, leafy yellow-green, and bright orange outline the sides, top, and bottom. In the center, in bold black letters, are the words:
Shho'i'yvvh-ur
The Booke of Dragonnes
>read page 2
You open the book to the second page, a glorious illumination from edge to edge. A dragon with wings outspread coils, its scales shading from red, orange, or yellow to bronze highlights at the tips. In the center of the page, two ice-green eyes glare above a row of fangs in a gaping red maw.
>read page 3
You open the book to the third page. A skilled hand has penned a poem here in uncial letters, and the rubricator has colored each noun a brilliant red, with a touch of gold leaf on the capitals.
Bright the eye and bold its beams,
Wide the wing that wafts her high,
Iron the edge of every scale,
And keen and cold the dragon's cry.
>read page 4
You open the book to the fourth page.
Spare the shape that shades the moon,
Lean and long she lingers there,
Banks and bends her gaze below,
Then plummets prey-ward through the air.
What waits the falling felon wyrm,
What forage will her fetching find?
Who goes to greet this screaming guest
Has mastered dragons of the mind.
>read page 5
You open the book to the fifth and final page. Except for a fancy O and D, the page is blank.

I think they're just another iteration of witch balls.
Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.
