Item Registration Offices 09/24/2015 09:18 PM CDT
Hulfgarst Rundmolen, of the infamous Rundmolen Brothers Storage Company, has traveled far and wide, negotiating with every city and province to provide Item Registration services in every one of his vault locations. The Rundmolen Brothers have graciously allowed a group of Dwarven Registrars to lease space within the Carousel locations across Elanthia. These money-savvy Dwarves are well versed in the exchange rates around the lands, and therefor will not require you to pay in Kronars, but will accept the local provincial denomination. For the time being, all other Item Registration Offices will remain open for business as usual.

OOC: What does this mean for you? Now you can register your valuable items at every Carousel location throughout Elanthia! Inside every desk where you pay your vault rental fees, you'll notice a "Registration Office" similar to the few already in game. Go in the office, and read the sign if you need further direction. These offices will take local currency for registering your items, not the typical Kronars game wide in vault locations. This, and other item registration information can be found in NEWS 2 17.

This is now live in Prime and Plat. TF will follow in a few days if nothing explodes.

Any way you could update trader shops so that they can't sell registered items? Or maybe just a glaring warning that an item is registered before you buy it?

Yay!

From what I can tell it looks to be the same mechanics still, right? I.e. Limited time behind the curtain with a cooldown that's longer if you get kicked out instead of voluntarily leaving, and containers with items inside can't be registered.

Also, the signs in each spot both inside and outside the curtains need to be updated, since the note at the bottom says REGISTER CHECK won't list items registered to someone else and it has been updated to do so.

Town Registrar Information

Registration of an item should not be construed as an insurance
policy of any type, nor is it proof of ownership. It simply
establishes a detailed record of the item, and that it was at
one time in the possession of the person who paid for the registration.

It is unnecessary to register an item again unless it has been
altered, enhanced through crafting professions or otherwise modified.

To register your item, simply REGISTER {item name}.
To unregister an item registered to you, simply UNREGISTER {item name}.
To see which items you have registered on your person, simply REGISTER CHECK.
NOTE: This will not list items registered to someone else.

I believe if you appraise an item being sold before you buy it you'll see a messaging at the end showing that it has "unfamiliar marks"

On a whim...: http://www.lostonawhim.com/

The Zoluren army asks, "We're um.... really sorry about the clubhouse and all... so uh... are we cool?"

Train? Why? I'll get there eventually...

Sure, there are some things on tables that could be registered that are very rarely appraised (Siegery Pieces for example)
