Really? So people can stow away on private ships and the owners can't do anything about it?

You can command the pilot to have someone thrown off, and you can set a guard on the plank to prevent folk from boarding.

As far as I've been told, if someone sneaks onto your boat you have consent on them.

You raise your hands in the air. You wave them like you just don't care. Somebody says, "Hey!" Somebody says, "Ho!" Somebody screams.

<<A lot of the characters in DR are really cliche like that too. I see no way you could call pointing someone out an "OOC action" when he or she enters the room with a criminal or thiefly title, *wearing black leathers* with skulls embossed, a mask to hide their face, *a loaded crossbow or a black dagger*, and ducks behind the nearest barrel. If you blatantly look and/or act like a criminal it's entirely IC for a stranger to point you out and treat you like one.>>

Just to let people in on somethin...
I know a warmie who wears lots of black and walks around with a hooded cloak concealing her features, who has probably 0-5 stealing ranks. My old barb wore almost all black, had a similar cloak concealing his features, used crossbows (along with around eight other types of weapons), and had daggers - though not black - for throwing. He wore black because I trained stealth, and IC'ly black would help stealth. The ranger I played breifly also wore all black, and yes, my thief also wears black, for the same reason as my barb - RP - and trains crossbow because it's easiest to use with a shield.

Sorry, it's just irritating to me for some reason to always, always, ALWAYS see black clothes, crossbows, and stealth related with stealing, especially since my hiding is now lower than my stealing - meaning I steal better without hiding unless I use a boost. The irony there is at least funny.

Dude, i totally agree. Camo can fix it! Camouflage is the new black.

For the longest time I wore all black because someone told me that it helped me hide in the shadows better, lol.

Then I wore an obsidian circle because again I was told it gave a small hide bonus.

There are a lot of people who rely on stealth in the game, it makes sense that you would see a lot of people in black.

Oh plus everyone wants to be a ninja death killer, duh.

Except that black actually makes you stand out more than something that would break your outline, like camo.

Except in a fantasy world where we melt into the background and blend with the shadows. All within arm's length!

There's nothing in the spell's messaging about being covered in black emo goth kid gear, which is my real beef with people wearing all black. :(

PS make sure you look down at your feet before hiding, it gives you a 15% bonus.

Hey, some of us are chunky. Black is slimming, okay! Sometimes even corsets need help.
