Training Update? 11/18/2011 08:47 AM CST
So, I was having a wonderful RP time last night. The thought lasted a good while, and then was diminished when I realized I would have to head out the next day to travel away for training purposes.

Any update on opening up some higher level hunting grounds in Theren? You may consider turning on (full time) the new orc area. Thanks in advance.

seriously man, go up to muspar'i and train with those new things there. They should still be able to train you and you can still get back and forth alot easier than from the islands.

If you mean the hhvini things or however it's spelled, they do not teach that high.

Auctions are to poor characters what good high-level hunting grounds are to mainlands :(

With that said, I'm getting all of my major combat goals out of the way in exile-island so I can focus on stuff like non-combat skill apprenticeships(weaponsmithing, here I come!) and RP.

Also, the last time we asked about this I'm pretty sure a GM said they would not be looking at new high-level creature areas due to the impending Combat 3.0 push. It also sounded like the GM who responded was a bit aggrivated with us for asking again :x

Just some food for thought!

There are plans for high level mainland hunting that is not being held up by Combat 3.0.

Will any of them be out before Combat 3.0? I do not know.

Yep. About once every two months, I make a request for an update. Not a worry at all if the update is "nothing new". However, it is a way to keep the task in front of everyone.

Thanks for the response.

That being said, I am curious why the orc area can not be turned on at least on a temporary basis until the more permanent areas are ready for release? Creatures are coded, the area works (or at least from the player perspective) so that seems a quick, easy thing to flip the switch on.

So how about that end game, pretty exciting.

Problem is by the time they get around to releasing it, I'm gonna be too big to hunt there.

Damn!

If roadkill can pass as one of the most feared creatures in the land, then why can't we have giant ants that spit fireballs, whirlwind with 5 legs(one leg to keep it on the ground) and become collectively more intelligent as their numbers increase?

If they were to be found anywhere in the land, it'd be somewhere near Theren. They don't have very many bugs, although a lot of pests.
