The massive gates of the city of Shard rise up to the north. The twin doors of steel-braced ironwood give access to the North Bridge across the Lake of Tears. Somber guards watch on the battlements above. You also see a ladder to the top of the wall and a prominent warning sign.

An elderly Elothean dressed in flowing blue robes that cover most of her body, Esharis is a perfect picture of serenity. With her black, almond-shaped eyes mostly closed and her silver hair spilling over her shoulders, she seems to be meditating. However, a faint blue-white aura glimmers around her, betraying the fact that she is very much aware of her surroundings. One of the group of guards known as the "Watchmen", she stands at her post with a calm demeanor.
