These sound awesome. I might have to get one for Evye. I could never part with my hope chest.

When I saw them in plat, I wanted on so bad but certainly didn't have enough coin to buy one. Now all I have to do is hijack a boat out there to buy one!

I REALLY want to know what they do once installed in the home before I trade in my treasure chest to get one. Do they chime? Do they just set there and look pretty? If someone has bought one please fill me in on the details!

Yes, I am the inescapable, the irresistable,
The unnegotiable, the unchallenged
I scroll in measurements, control the elements,
I hold the evidence, I tell the story
I know no prejudice, I bare no sentiments
For wealth or settlement, I move forward
You can't recover me, conceal or smuggle me,
Retreat or run from me, crawl up or under me,
You can't do much for me besides serve
Me well and have good dividends returned to you
Or attempt to kill me off and have me murder you
Many have wasted me but now they are facing me,
Treated me unfaithfully and now endure me painfully
Plaintively, I wait to see what history will shape to be,

I am time

They don't make noise.

An ebonwood canopy bed and a lustrous satinwood table with a dark blue wood-framed mirror on it rest upon the fine terra cotta tile floor of this room. An elaborately carved marble fireplace, a vivid dragon tapestry hanging above it, burns from its resting place at the edge of the red spidersilk carpet covering the floor. Polished ebonwood walls enclose the area, holding in its strong smell of dried flowers. You also see a stained glass window, a glossy black silk-cushioned chair, *a dark walnut grandfather orlog* and a long-haired grey kitten.
Obvious exits: none

>l orl
On the orlog's polished silver face is a black enameled pointer mounted on a central spindle. The face has words and figures around the edge, from "midnight" at the top, then the numbers 1 to 11 down the right side to "noon" at the bottom, and 1 to 11 ascending on the left.
Above the face is a semicircular opening where the top halves of three metal discs can be seen. As the background revolves to picture night or day, the smaller discs show the phases of the moons, ascending on the left as they wax and descending on the right as they wane. Below the face is a shiny brass plaque engraved with: "YOUR NAME HERE"
The timepiece, tall enough to stand on its own, has a dark walnut cabinet. Beneath the orlog face is a tall case carved with fanciful sea monsters.
The orlog's case is open.
>read orl
An unobtrusive tag on the orlog reads:
Congratulations on your purchase of a precision Perobler
timepiece. For best service, follow this simple advice:
Be sure to wind it faithfully by PULLing the ORLOG after
you have opened it. If it should cease running, you can
restart and reset it by PULLing it. To find the correct
time or phases of the moon, simply PEER at your orlog.
For good service, don't trust to fortune. Perobler's of
Mer'Kresh offers courteous, fast, and competent repairs.
>peer orl
You peer at a grandfather orlog. The hand on the orlog is between five and six, before the meridian. Above the face, against a background of a star-filled black sky, a little blue moon in the waxing side of the disc shows a quarter-full face

They replace chests/wardrobes which must be emptied before you trade them in. There were 3 types, 10pk per when I went.

The orlogs do have storage space in them.

Just not sure how big it is, I haven't used it yet.

I think they're standard and hold 4 items inside and 1 on top.
