I thought we could get slings and staff slings form Treck? And rocks for amo. Once we get a crafting hall, we can make slign amunition from what we mine on M'riss.

re: current fletching stuff - these materials might be passe once <chaping?> <tinkering?> - whichever craft you will use to make bows/arrows with under 3.0. So whatever materials are going to be utilized, I'd like to have available.

I think Magdar's right, the Treks drop slings and staff slings and probably leave plenty of rocks for anyone who might want to train them a little.

Fletching supplies added to my list!

I actively train sling, but unless you could put Hallow's Eve fest ammo in a shop, I wouldn't really worry about it.

Non lodging LT and ht, the boar clan sells basic throwing clubs and hammers...

All edges, all blunts, and a pike... think khuj from scc would be great. Lx , hx... Ammo and straps...

All that and I'm good :-p

Oh yeah a quarterstaff would be cool too.

Are quarterstaffs widely used?

Not currently, but they're probably starting to see an uptick in usage now that their stats are significantly better. They might end up being much more widely used than they are now.

I use one, but that was more of an RP based decision at the time than a gameplay based one.

I use one and love it. Very nice weapon and fun to kill things with.

Is there a preferred one currently being sold in the stores?

I'd be happy to work out an arrangement with any brick and mortar establishment. :P

I <3 Caraamon's weapons to be sure... but as far as a storebought QS, I always used the stout quarter staff from Urglub's Squishing Emporium in Boar Clan.

Think of Quarterstaffs, et. al., I'm reminded of the Magic of Recluse. I could get behind a staff like that. Iron-capped on both ends, fitted into the wood for a seamless flow, a two-handed staff with some pretty sweet impact damage. Different woods impart qualities similar to bows. :)

I have a lightened Bo stick as a staff, which seems sort of monk like in my mind's eye.

This one right here changed my carrying one around despite my inability to use it into a necessity as I am now training the skill past 100 painful, slow ranks. And pretty much makes any one of the multitude from fests/event prizes/stores that I own something else to collect dust in my vault.

A tempered quarter staff with a balanced design is a quarter staff pole-ranged weapon.

You are certain that it could do:
somewhat moderate (6/25) puncture damage
dismal (1/25) slice damage
severe (13/25) impact damage

You are certain that the staff is soundly (8/13) balanced and is decently (6/13) suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.

You are certain that the quarter staff is very strong against damage, and is in pristine condition (98-100%).

Agreed. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I hate being stuck on the mainland when I want to forge! hehe.

What is the weight on that staff? Nice stick.

62 stones. i haven't played with the mix for qs to find the lightest weight to net those stats. It's lightyears ahead of my others, and other than a couple friends who wanted one, not much of a market for them in the plaza shop my other weapons are sold in.

I'd love to see buckets get added at the barricades. They are a hotspot for out of combat activities.
