I'm stuck in SA for awhile, at least another year, more likely the next 5. A yankee in Texas is like a fish out of water ;)

I concur. I'm from Connecticut originally and moved to El Paso this summer by way of Minnesota and Chicago. The complaints about how cold it gets are really what amuse me, as well as the humidity (40% humidity is A LOT here). At least I'll only be here until August, when I go to some other undisclosed location looking for my Ph.D....
