So I'll be in NY visiting family during my birthday and as they work I'd like to find some interestin folks to chill with to celebrate with me. Anyone up for going out June 2nd, a Tuesday? :)

I'm over in WNY, but I've gone NJ and back in a day before, in a February, don't see why I might not be able to do similar for the right reasons in sunlight, and warm June. Keep me in the loop.

Where are you headed specifically?

While its generally pretty detestable, somewhere near midtown might be convenient for folks coming in on buses or rail, and should be relatively subdued on a Tuesday. The last NY meeting I can remember was ages ago (Three of Cups?) and they had reserved the space but I also think it was expected about 15-20 of us showed up.

First set your @play.net email for forward to a valid email for you.

Then tell people to email you if they are interested, they can either click the email author link and email you, or just send an email to your account name @play.net.

Then you make an email with everyone's email address to discuss the plan. People can then add other people that they know who want to also be on the list.

This always worked out better as about half the people I know, never come on the forums. Additionally these forums are crap.

Alternatively you can use a different set of forums, but then people have to sign up there and so on. However there is some benefit to that as we have a group of people that play a couple different online games and will just chill out in a chat program and socialize while doing whatever floats their boat.

Either the 44st St Times Square or the 34 Cooper Sq East Village one. Second one is closer to where we'll be staying, but dunno how much farther that first one is in NY transportation to go? I'm assuming people work... would 7p.m. be too late or too early? Maybe 8?

My friend said the times square one is easier than the east village, less transporation jumping or whatever it is y'all do up there. I dunno how ya survive without cars... so lets do Times Sqaure Gyu Kaku at 7p.m. Will send ya my # via group email. All the bars that look interesting run south from there on that blue M line that for some reason doesn't stand for Monorail :/
