I actually lived in southern Sweden in the Baltic area for over a year. I adored it and have been back since! Beware of the 'lutfisk' at Christmas time, it tastes like cold gravelly fish jelly. I found it to be completely disgusting. And their 'blood pudding' is really filled with blood btw. The cheese and breads are really good there though.

As for Germany, I have an uncle that lives in Munster, not sure if that is nearby.
