Best live music (venues or bands)? A good pub to catch a rugby match? Places to see? Places to avoid? Good restaurants (especially vegetarian/seafood, for the sake of the gf)?
Local opinions especially valued, but any input would be appreciated!
Thanks,

Heh, no advice, but have a great time! Drink ale.

I spent a month in Dublin two years ago and had a phenomenal time. It took me awhile to get used to most non-pub places closing by 8 o'clock at night.
Temple Bar district is always a great time, but wherever you are, be aware of pickpockets. I've never seen so many in any other major city that I've been to.
