Friends,

It is my sad fortune to let you all know that Julie Nichols, player of Jeseanne, IG and RL wife of Wolfegang (John Nichols), and my RL mother, passed away at 5:15 yesterday after suffering a major stroke late Thursday night. As she passed, she was surrounded by myself and my two sisters, her husband John, as well as her brother, sisters and friends.

Mom was an extraordinary woman who touched many peoples' lives very deeply, many of whom I'm just now getting to know. She always believed in me and my sisters, and loved us each even more. She worked hard all of her life to make sure that we had what we needed.

We'll be holding a visitation on Wednesday with services to occur Thursday at 1pm cdt.

When I got our of the character generator, on my very first day in the game, she was the first character I ran into. She was somewhere between the NE gate and the WM guild. The last time I had RPed was years before in the AOL Red Dragon Inn, and I was so psyched about finding DR, when I ran into her, I tried my nad at RPing some obnoxious flirting.

She shut me down hard - but it wasn't run of the mill - it was brilliant RP and so much fun I decided I loved the game. And I never forgot it.

She was an intelligent, fun, and sweet player.
