Gharrick And Marclah 06/16/2009 04:22 PM CDT
It is with a heavy heart that I post this:

The player of Gharrick and Marclah, a good friend of mine in and out of the realm, has passed away. Most of you probably did not know him, he kept to himself. But still, he was one of us, if even for a short while.

He was in the realms for about a month, first playing one of my alts, Marclah, to learn the game, and then creating his own character and account, creating Gharrick the thief.

I got the notice this morning. He was killed in Iraq a few days ago.

I don't know the details of his passing, nor when he will be coming home to us.

He doesn't have any immediate family that I know of, or that he ever spoke of, so I would assume he's to be buried at Arlington National Cemetary.

More details to follow, as I get them.

Rest well, CJ. Fare winds and following seas. You will be missed, old friend.

My deepest sympathies to the family and to all his friends, he gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country and will be remembered for that forever... at least by me.

I didn't know either character, but my sympathies to you for the loss of your friend.

It's always sad when a DR player leaves us, especially in those circumstances.

I hope he knows peace now.

Too young to die with so much future to look forward to. May he walk in peace with loved ones.
