Lemon Pepper Ranch Pretzels 06/22/2009 09:48 AM CDT
I don't think these have an official name, my family just knows they're tasty. I made them for the office today, and they apparently agree.

No cooking involved!

2 - 1 lb. bags of pretzels (I use the standard pretzel shape...seems to hold the taste better)
1 - 16 oz. bottle of Orville Redenbacher's popcorn oil/flavoring
2 - Tablespoons of lemon pepper seasoning
1 - Packet of ranch dressing mix.
1 - Large bowl with lid (though I used three smaller tupperware) big enough to hold all of the above.

Put pretzels in bowl. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix and lemon pepper seasoning on pretzels. Drizzle entire bottle of oil onto the pretzels. Close bowl and shake thoroughly but gently. Wait one hour, shake again. Leave overnight. Taste in the morning.

Wow, those sound good. What's the Orville Redenbacher's popcorn oil/flavoring like? I suspect I won't be able to find that overseas.

Personally, my family (and I) has always been a big fan of the original homemade Chex-mix recipie for a snack food. I swear we eat this stuff in 2 days flat.

1 box Corn Chex cereal
1 box Rice Chex cereal
1 box Wheat Chex cereal
1 cup bite-size pretzels
1 cup garlic-flavor bite-size bagel chips or regular-size bagel chips, broken into 1-inch pieces
2 sticks butter
5 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 teaspoons seasoned salt
1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder

1. In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips; set aside.
2. In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted.
3. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
4. Microwave uncovered on High 8 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
