Mix it up then, hot coco with gin and Baileys (?) Throw in a snowy evening, cozy fire, a beautiful woman and credit card bills 'til June and it sounds like the bloody holidays to me :)

Chocolate and cream liquers mixed in a blender with ice. Yum. For a desert add vanilla ice cream. Double yum.

Hot chocolate with godiva liqueur and little marshmellows on top. Drank in front of a fire. With a blanket. And good book.

These do sound good. Creme de menthe in hot chocolate with a spoon full of ice cream is good too.

As I watch Food Network way too much, I will add my safety notice:

Never! (Never!) Add any alcohol to a mixture with the heat on. Turn the heat off, add the alcohol, then turn the heat back on if needed (especially if you are using a gas burner).

Why's that? Splash worry (fuel in the flame)? Should you even be anywhere near the kitchen, let alone the stove, if you make that much of a mess? ;)

No, as alcohol heats, it releases flammable gases (ethers) into the air which can catch fire from the burner (this is how you flambe anything to begin with). You add the alcohol with the flame off so that it doesn't catch your hand on fire in case it catches.

I don't remember exactly how it was set up, but in Poland they were drinking hot beer with cloves in it. Sneaking a peak towards the kitchen it looked like they were just nuking it. Ah, the wonders of technology. I'm not a huge fan of the beer, but my friends were loving the stuff.

There's a lot of "holiday" flavored beers out there. I tried a pumpkin one not too long ago, maybe it's because I'm not a beer drinker... but it was Icky.
