Tonight the Order of the White Rose will be hosting the second of four qualifying events for the World Jousting Tournament. (Jousters who qualify at one of these events may compete at the final event, which will be held some time in May.)

When: Saturday, March 15 at 8 p.m. EDT (5 Akroeg 412)

Where: Zoluren Royal Mews (from outside Crossing's North Gate, go north, northeast, southeast, go wrought gates, north, go narrow pathway, northeast, northeast)

What to Bring: your horse, your shield, heavy plate armor for the head and torso, and Kronars for blunted lances (62 each)

There are five skill-based brackets (determined by the average of your ranks in polearms and shield usage):

0-150
151-300
301-500
501-800
801+

SCORING

We are using the standard scoring rules. Each pair of contestants will joust until one has earned five points. The winner moves on to the next round until no one else in the bracket remains.

unhorsing your opponent: 5 points
striking your opponent in the head: 3 points
striking your opponent on the chest: 2 points
breaking your lance on your opponent's shield: 1 point
