Hello, its Xanzie. I'm still looking for volunteers for Langen Feast on November 1st, starting at 7 pm. There's going to be archery, song and story telling, pie throwing, a dance and lots of ale to partake of. Drop me a note at Jens-kids@play.net and tell me what you're interested in.

Langenfirth celebrates its heritage with Langen's Feast. Commemorating Monk Langen for his contributions to the town with a day of activities, hot foods and lots and lots of Langen's Ale. Shake off the cold winter and have fun with us. The fun starts at 7 pm EST.

Langen Feast Archery Contest

Test your aim in Langenfirth on November 1, 2003 at the Langen Feast
Archery contest. Bring your favorite bow and meet down by the
lakeside to match your shot against the Rangers of Langenfirth.

Rules:
1. All archery contestants must check in with the Master of the Contest to have their name added to list and decide in what category to be entered. There will be categories for 0-15 circles(Sparrow Hawk), 16-30 circles(Osprey), 31-50 circles(Goshawk) and 51+ circles(Peregrine).
2. Targets will start at closest range. Groups will be set and shots will be fired, closest shot in each group will move to hext level. Others will be dropped from the contest. Target will then be moved back and archers regrouped, the process is repeated until one person is left.
3. Judges decisions are final and awards will be given at the
end of the contest.

Campfire storytelling contest
Subject: Spooky Songs and Thrilling Stories

Bring your spooky songs and stories to the campfire at Langen's Feast
November 1, 2003 and thrill the audience. Entrants are requested to
email Character name and name of performance piece to enter the
contest, though last minute entries will be accepted if time permits. Email address for this contest is JENS-KIDS@PLAY.NET.

Rules:
1. Entries will be judged based on content, plot and
presentation. Content must not contain vulgarity or be deemed
inappropriate based on Simutronics terms of service. Entries must be
on subject topic to be considered for prizes. Plot is judged based
on flow of the story. Presentation is judged by how the entrant
presents their story to the audience.
2. Entrants are asked to stick to an eight-minute limit on their
entries. Any longer than that and the time is subtracted from your
final score.
3. Judges decisions are final and awards will be given at the
end of the contest. Prizes will be given in two categories. First,
Second and Third place for Poetry or song entries and First, second
and third place in storytelling.
