Simply, that the titles of Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master be migrated into new Lore skill based titles, at roughly ~25, ~250, and ~750 ranks, give or take a hundred on the latter ones. It would simply require any of the given skills, and at around ~400 ranks you'd get the skill's generic "Outfitter/Alchemist/etc." title like you do. I think some of those exist (Engineer) but not others? The reasons for why these, and not the longer "Apprentice Alchemist" etc. titles are twofold:

One, it would let me use it as a title for referencing being an apprentice to someone else in other situations.
Two, brevity is the soul of wit, and tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes.

I agree, with the addition of specific career-based titles.

For instance, one could not only be a "master forger", one could also choose from "master blacksmith, master weaponsmith, master armorsmith.

To gain those titles in addition to ranks in forging, it could also be tied into the number of workorders you'd done in a specific craft. I wouldn't want it to tie into prestige mainly because of prestige decay. Once you've done the work orders you are knowledgeable in the field, it wouldn't do to lose that title because you couldn't play <say a player in active duty military for example> or took a brief hiatus.

I would prefer not to see titles tied to work orders because they aren't the sole indicator of expertise with a particular craft. Skill itself would be better.

I'd really like to see both.

For Example:
Master Forger might have a requirement of 500 Forging ranks, but Master Blacksmith might require those same ranks plus turning in x amount of hard blacksmith orders.

I'd also like to see some titles given based upon what techniques you know. Like Repairs Master for having all the repair techs, Tool Specialist for having all the tool making techniques, etc.
