I think the Cavern of Fire area, where you can hunt the supple firecats in Hibarnhvidar, would be a great place to have a mine. It's got some fun atmospherics and then the exit puzzle, and I suspect this hunting area (heck, the city!) could use with some more things to draw folks in. Ready made cavern area just itching for some prospecting...:)
