I've made a couple of things, by no means a major in depth test, but is there any reason to use Heavy of average thread, or Fine over Thin? I was told weight of item, but my smaller scale tests didn't show this to be true.

Is the only reason for thread difference the type of cloth that can be made from it, and possibly crafting speed with thicker vs thinner?
