Healing Herbs vs. Alchemy 11/01/2016 01:08 AM CDT

I have been training Alchemy so that I can make healing potions. But I recently realized that healing herbs are still purchasable at shops throughout the game.

Is this a bridge / temp thing? Will these healing herbs be discontinued? Or will they be around indefinitely?

Healing herbs still exist, but they're slow and won't heal the more dangerous wounds. The penalties that you see applied to alchemy have always been indefinitely disabled. I think remedies is in a good place now. There's a reason to use it, but you're not forced into it.
