How about adding a diagnostic remedy, which causes body parts with otherwise invisible injuries to appear under 'health' as tinkling, itching, throbing, pulsing... for the duration of the remedy?

It really is annoying to be doing healing work mostly blind.

I really like the idea, but it feels like it would be better as a reactant than a remedy. Low enough level that the ranks would transfer well without techs, and made out of some sort of radioactive or eel-like material that caused wounds to glow.

That seems a bit extreme and not very thematic. The effects of the diagnostic remedy(tm) was only intended to be noticeable by the one, it is applied on.
