Friends, countrymen, and esteemed members of the Court:

Today in the early afternoon, Rossman's Landing, Langenfirth and Therenborugh were attacked by orcs. The fighting raged until nearly sunset. Thanks to the help of our citizenry and militia, coordinated by His Grace's Military Advisor, along with some who came from Zoluren, there were minimal combatant casualties and no civilian deaths reported to us at the time of this report. Of particular note, Viggu's sorcerer, Nikoruk, was spotted inside the walls of the city. Using a powerful variant of the Mind Shout pattern, he was able to overcome the defenses of even our mightiest warriors. We are unsure at this point what Nikoruk's motivations were for being in the city but an investigation is underway. We shall communicate additional information as it comes to us. His Grace has not yet spoken on the matter.
