Tiso and I met with our King last eve and he is looking most well after an extended communion with his patron deity in the desert deep. We gave him all the news we had gathered and discussed many things. Those wishing more involvement with and in Outcast events should follow the 'bread crumbs' that will be layed down. Shade and water and may your arms be strong and swords sharp.

Your Majesty I will be sending someone your way to see about bringing a greater hunting challenge to the sands once occupied by the slavers. His name is Trebber and I ask you give him commision to gain one or two creatures from other places to live and breed in the desert sands where the young warriors may gain skill in hunting them.

Raenilar,

Good to know you are still around. My hand misses the burning from when I smacked you across the face - and how is your crony Yhaman?

Much love,

Missive to King Raenilar and Yhaman 08/08/2006 10:16 AM CDT
Me King and Yhaman,

I hopes this message finds ye both well and the situation in the deeper desert has been contained. All be well in Therengia, with only the occassional disruptions from the orc Viggu. As I have said in me previous letter to ye, he holds some information regarding histories not spoken of and written about, that I feel could be of importance and somewhat enlightening. The most interesting to me though, be the claim regarding the teeth and possession, as this could be information that could be of use to us.

Sharuul as sent me a message saying there be very many on the islands that be interested in joining the tribe. As I do not be having ye leave to interview them as yet, Sharuul has spoken to them briefly. I do be behaving arrangements to go to the islands via a candidate's boat to do a final interview, but will not till I get ye approval to do so.

The others I have spoken with, are being patient and understand that ye were both in the deeper desert taking care of matters. I do be having some reservations regarding some of them, and to this I do wish to speak to both of ye on the matter.

I was approached by a lad by the name of Sok. He has asked me, if one of our crafters would be creating a sandstone statue for a project at the Stone Clan in Zoluren. I was taken back at first by this request, given the previous feelings of the Prince. I did be informing him that I would speak with ye and the crafter regarding this, but only after he be getting approval from the Royal Steward Lindryl. I did be explaining to him what this gesture could be meaning to us, so to be very clear on the request to the Royal Steward, and the answer.

I be mentioning also, that King Talorc showed an unusal interest in ye powers, me King. He did be asking me some questions, but as it be a matter that should be handled by ye alone. I only briefly answered his question, with zu real information. Mayhaps a visit to his camp be in order, as we do still have a standing invitation with him.

I still have not finalized the agreement with Mayor Bressail. I be hearing he be very busy at the time. I do be hoping to get that attended to in short time though.

by me hand,

Me King,

I was visited by a fellow by the name of Worrclan. He explained that the lad Sok might have been a little confused about which King to request the sandstone from. After a short talk, we have straightened it out, and the request should have been made to the King of Muspar'i. I knows ye were as shocked as I was, but I be glad this all be straighten out now.

My King,
I pray this message finds you well Sire. As you have likely already heard from the Wiseman, we had the priveledge of attending the Zoluren Green and gold ball. None of us incurred any problems. Was a very well organized event. Baron Gyfford made a very generous donation of 1000 plat lirum and 10 years of various food stuffs to the Princess's orphanage. After the ball the Baron had us accompany him, as well as his Ambassador and Calvary,on his return to Theren. In the Great Hall the Baron re-itterated his views on the Slavers. Detailed reports will be forth coming. On an aside I endeavor to continue my studies on what it is to be one with the Tribe.

I remain faithfully at your service My Lord King. Scribe Paerolia.

My King Raenilar,

Your scribe comes to you humbly in this message. Your sister Princess Macja is more than represented by the stories handed down to Your people. She is safe in the lands of the Baron our generous ally. I know you would already know this, but can't help repeating it. She is grace personified and Chamberlain Isleif truely seems taken with her. She seems to be missing her horse..she only casually mentioned having to leave it behind, but for an Outcast that speaks so much. Baron Gyfford offered Her her choice of mounts from His stables...did I mention his generosity?
There is talk she may visit River Crossings at some point, but I assure you She will be well watched over, and well we all know She is Your sister and not one to take lightly. Your Ambassador Wyndz has been vigilant in her duties and very gracious. Commander Aaiyaah and so many others were at her disposal and concerned for her safety. The best for last Sir...Your Tribe..Wiseman Tiso, Emissary Alexii..all the rest of us...behaved exempillary. She was presented with a welcoming gift from us and it was happily recieved. I humbly remain in Your service and Her's as she wishes it.

My ....,

Today was an exciting day. Princess Macja once again fancied a stroll. Today's destination the city of River Haven and Dunshade Manor. General Drexella was at hand as well as Commander Worrclan...their people were on the ball, so to speak....term I learned while studying in the Baron's lands. Anyway Chamberlain Isleif seemed burdened and he broached the topic of the sadness plaguing his birth right. I hope he tells the Princess before a citizen lets it slip. Princess Macja honors me with her trust and her friendship, it seems she is more relaxed when I am near, well that's what she told me. I hope to bring her that peace more often. I take my responsibilites very seriously and will try and guide her gently...she doesn't need little me to tell her what to do, but when she asks I will do my best. She continues to be the pure definition of what it means to be an Outcast. Brave, direct, fierce, intelligent, and so lovely. I truely enjoy her sense of humor...those I have come to know call it..dry humor? Chamberlain Isleif was a gentleman, saw to her without stifling her...and it seems there is a true spark of interest between them. I think it to be a good match. I will continue to send updates as I am able. Xelten made an appearance...he was well behaved...this time...I made sure the Princess knows to watch this one...she put him on notice without haste...Chamberlain Isleif threatened his life...I found it very likeable about him...Outcastish.

Princess Macja is a strong willed lass. She so took to my suggestion of a wolf cub to help distract Her, that this day She was of a mind to see it done. In Lord Baron Gyfford's and Lord Chamberlain Islief's absence Captain Ceanatis was agreeable to grant Her the chance to obtain the cub. With amazing attention to detail, and organization to assure Her safety, Princess did get Her cub. Many of the Tribe, Baron's milita, as well as Court Advisor and Ambassador Wyndz saw to Her safety. The cub was fondly named Captain in honor of Captain Ceanatis. *ponders adding that might make King Raenilar an uncle but thinks better of it*. That is all I have to report today. I hope to Have more to say on the actual engagement and courtship in the near future. Baron Gyfford was very understanding of the Princess' needs for a bit of diversion and adventure. Also Princess' escort Caprianna was on hand to assist the Princess with Her task.

Shade and water my blessed King,

I pray the day finds you well. Yesterday was an exciting day.
Baron Gyfford and His brother Lord Oleveir arrived to address the issue
of appeasing His honor. After appointing Valynn as His Ambassador to
Ilithi his two conditions for appeasing Him are as follows:
1) Xelten meet him in melee combat; and or
2) His Citizenship from Ilithi be revoked.

That settled light conversation took place til we were joined by
Princess Macja and Her wolf cub Captain. I gifted her with an
Outcast Wyren doll chew toy for the cub and Sensusharr gave the
Princess a beautiful pouch she made.

Princess expressed her sadness that She barely knows Her intended and
also She wished to get out more. Baron Gyfford Himself suggested a
hunting trip which He and the Chamberlain might both attend. Baron
also granted she might travel His lands as She pleased with proper
escort. After clarification was given as to proper guard...(Some of
His and some of Ours) a hunting trip was planned. Flaree will be in attendence. I will be
going on the trip, but not hunting.
That's is all I have to report for now My King.

Me King,

I hopes this letter finds its way to ye. I knows sometimes me messenger gets a little lost in the desert and every direction seems to be about the same to them at times. I has been to the desert recent to helps with the birthing of the pups. As I tolds Alexii, one might not have made it through the night, but the others seems to be of hearty stock. The three he calls "the Sisterhood" sat and watched me with very suspicious eyes, the whole time I could hears their low growls of warning each time I cleaned a pup after the birth. I had broughts some tendered meat with me and with me being a healer, I thinks they thought I would do zu harm to the birthing female.

There has been many troubles to the south as of late. I knows it means little to ye rights now as ye has offered to helps them with their necromancy problems before. Odd how it be the very one that can helps them, they shun with great hatred. Such as it be. I understands their hatred, just not the lengths they will go to hang on to it. Mayhaps if they lost that, they would have little else to occupy their narrow minds. I had heards that some be right cozy with the necromancers there and these peoples are rightly excepted within the arms and folds of the populous. I was told that the necromancer even stood among them and had a conversation while they fawned over him, not a one taking a sword to him at the time. I shakes me head at the news of this, as it only makes me wonder more. Ah wells, what can ye do? As me mother used to says, Send ye bread over water but don't expects a nibble.

I not be sure if ye be knowing the lass Valkri. She be a feisty Elothean with fire in her heart. I has to says, I gets great enjoyment from her passions, as she speaks from her heart. She is truthful and does not hides false feelings and lies, I thinks that be what I likes about her most. I knows where she stands, and I be respecting her more for that. She has a pure hatred for Outcasts and ye. Mostly ye I thinks, as ye can well imagine why. I do not tries to make her understand ye reasoning behinds the death of the Ferdahl. I think mayhaps she even respects that I don't tries. Though, there was one time I did, but I could sees it pained her more than helped, so I let it goes. I think she tries to understand, but it alludes her greatly, but I honours her for at least attempting.

I hads a meeting recently, and was told the bulk of the metals be nearly mined. A shipment should be on its way to ye shortly and a 1/3 of the end product be their asking price. I knows this shouldn't bes a problem so I tolds him alrights. The messenger seemed a bit anxious to be getting back to his higher altitudes, so he did not wants to remain for any replies ye might have. If there be any changes please be letting me knows as soons as ye can, ye knows how they can be if things be changing at the last moments.

Just so ye be knowing, we will be allowing some to apply to be in the tribe. Come next weeks after our General Meeting, I will be having our members gives me the names of the ones they will be sponsoring.

My King,
I write you now to inform you of recent developments concerning your written agreement and the current wedding plans.

As you know we normally hold our general meetings during these parts of the month, and we did so last eve. The meeting did last but a short while, however it carried us into the early dawn. As we prepared ourselves to part ways, the meeting now over, we were graced with the knowledge of your sister awakening within the Baron's keep. As we made our way to her, we found that she was in good health and coming to respond to her future-husbands summon to join him. She was asked if she would like the company of her people, to which she welcomed us with open arms as she always has.

We made our way to the Baron. Upon reaching him, your sister quickly joined him at his table. Seated to his immediate side. The conversation opened well enough, the Baron gifted your sister with a bow carved by Lord Rossman and decorated with golden lions. She gave the item a quick draw test, examining the strength and quality of the weapon, before accepting it and placing it on her person.

Shortly after we were joined by Ambassador Valynn and her Bodyguard Madigan, whom had news from the south concerning a meeting of neutral standing. Discussion was held on this topic for sometime, the Baron deciding that he will travel with the company of his most honored and trusted. In addition, he wished that his future wife (your sister) be allowed to accompany him with escort of her own people as well. As discussion continued, it was brought to attention that perhaps this would be too much a show of force and not a show of willingness to negoiate. You sister did offer to limit our number which would accompany, being that we seem to be the point of contention to which this all circulates around.

I write you now to inform you of the descisions and to implore you for advice in whom should accompany your sister. I beleive there will be two or three who will be asked to travel with her, perhaps you would like to designate one of your brothers to keep the lass company? I am sure you will know how we should approach this path, my King.

Your son,
~Alexii

P.S. Forgive me, I know the wiseman is normally the one whom sends you these reports, but he was unavailable and not present for the conversation. He asked that I write to you in his stead.

My King Father,

I think on you daily and it bolsters me in the face of this undead plague. Your sister remains safe, though I fall short of saying contented...She aches to be out in the open air, but being close to Her love Baron Gyfford, tempers that.

We await the duel with baited breath. I must tell you something amusing...perhaps it will make the duel more fun for you, in a friendly way. Lord Oleveir was out and about and when I questioned him about the Baron and his likes and dislikes...he took great fun in sharing with me that His Grace is a skillful drawer...that his rendition of the likeness of Lord Laerhold...earned him many weeks of cleaning armor...this was when he was a squire.

Emissary Alexii and Sir Craetos continue to avail themselves to Theren in Wiseman Tiso's absence, since he is away performing your requests. There have been several that are interested in joining our family. We await their interviews.

The Outcast attendents and Wiseman Tiso have supplied many Outcast rituals for consideration during the wedding ceremony, though the wedding is to be mostly of Therengian custom, not sure how much will be incorporated.

It is bad luck for Morzidaen weddings to occur in the winter, so I don't expect winter nuptuals. Spring has come and gone... we have no date as yet, I will let you know post haste when we have one. Princess Macja has chosen colors in golds for her gown and for Her attendent's. I think it is a certainty there will be haggis served.

Back to Lord Olveir's chat...he was curious as to whether you had any children, besides your tribe...he mean that you personally fathered. I told him I knew of none, nor of any woman You fancied. He then jested that it would really stir the pot for you to take a Therengian/Morzidaen Bride. If Lady Shantelle sets the example of your options...Can I just say she is amazing and genteal? Very pretty too.

As a guest in Therengia, I availed myself to Lady Valkri's altar pilgrimage...praying to the several gods that they deliver us from Lyras. I still favor Urrem'tier and I await his vengeance against Lyras' audacity.
It was good, however, to gain new insight into other deities. I think she enjoys our respectful banter...she hopes to convert me and save me from my heathern ways.

I can't be angry with her, I find her very dedicated, if not mis-guided, to her beliefs about the Outcasts. I mean to befriend this woman inspite of herself. She may have lost her place in formal service to His Grace, but her love for her Ruler and her home is undaunted. I respect that, and her blunt sincerety. I think she, more than anyone else, has proven what I have learned for myself. That if there were ever another Ruler I would die for, give all my days in service to...it would be His Lord Grace Baron Gyfford.

To know you is to adore you My King Father.

As I write this letter to you, my Tribe brothers and sisters continue with their daily lives, even though the news of Your Wiseman, was once confused. We are all comforted at his recovery at your side, but despair at his loss of presence to us. For us he was a stake that keep our tent anchored in a windstorm.

Please call us to you and provide us council and wisdom. Though, us leaders left in the Tribe such as myself as Lawkeeper, continue to hold fast to Honor, as you know, change is something that rises unknown feelings within even the most hardened of warriors. I am concerned that the balance that Tiso provided us as Wiseman, to the Tribe, may be missed and may cause a unbalancing within us. A Parchment Scroll Addressed to Outcast King Raenilar 07/24/2009 03:19 AM CDT

~Greetings King Raenilar~

Recently a matter had come to my attention regarding a request made by your tribe's Lawkeeper, Valelaer to attend a vigil to Urrem'tier just outside the city of Shard.

As I understand it, your Lawkeeper made the request of you, and our Baron Gyfford for attending the vigil, as well as sending a formal letter to our Therengian Ambassador to Ilithi, Valynn. As our Ambassador Valynn tells me, the letter your Lawkeeper sent was to speak to the Ferdahl or her Advisor on her behalf for the attendance of the vigil and that regardless if granted permission from both you and Baron Gyfford, that she would honor the decision of Shard if asked not to attend.

In a respectful manner, the Ferdahl's Court Advisor Leucius declined your Lawkeeper's request for the visit and, at the same time, offered an alternative solution to travel to Therengia and hold another vigil to Urrem'tier where your Lawkeeper would be allowed to add her voice without incident with those in Ilithi.

Instead, the Lawkeeper went against her own words saying she would honor Shard's request not to attend. As with the many visits I have made to your lands, I came bearing the voice of our Baron as his Ambassador and you have honored that mutual respect and I thank you for that. The same case would apply to the Ferdahl's Court Advisor Leucius when he sent his reply to your Lawkeeper. He too speaks with the voice of the Tower and his word should be given the proper respect in such a position.

While I do not condone the actions of those in Ilithi, perhaps if your Lawkeeper would have heeded her own words in honoring their request not to attend, such an incident would never have occurred. They had little alternative but to look at the Lawkeeper's actions as a blatent disregard of their simple request. It is also my sincere hope that no further incident be added to the situation from either parties. With the delicate balance of relations between Ilithi and Therengian, these types of actions only hinder the process of coming to peaceful terms.

Respectfully~

I will be following shortly, and arriving to stay in the desert until I can see you, so that I do not distract you for long. My King,

I send you word on a couple of topics. The first being, I have been approached by Terra, the bard from Muspar’I. She claims she is on a quest to seek out the leaders of the lands and request them to put aside differences and work together to help end the threat that is Lyras. I have made her aware that on many occasions you have extended your hand to help and it has been spit on, and that you may not be so eager to extend it first again. I told her, she may wish to seek other Leaders first, and then speak with you. Though, as you have been fasting, your insight and thoughts may be different, and I leave this decision to you.

Secondly, the Princess/Baroness, your sister, has not been available since the marriage. I am sure this is the Baron’s attempt to keep her safe, in these hazardous times. And as such, I have not been able to deliver your decree to her to speak with her about her marriage to the Baron. I shall be speaking with the Ambassador to see if perhaps an audience could be arranged.

Lastly, My King, the war with Necromancers and Undead seems to be getting broader. Before we had to deal with Lyras. Now we are dealing with a dwarf, that has created dolls and golems, animated lifeless things, that kill. Once again fueled with Necro magic. Your warriors are fighting with honor, and holding the line, as expected.

Your Wiseman,

Jappal Mic-irr

A neatly tri-folded letter sent to the attention of King Raenilar 03/18/2010 02:20 PM CDT
My King, I write to you as your humble servant to inform you, as you may already know, Lyras and her minions appear to be no more.

However, others that follow these arts remain and although the head has been removed from this necromantic pestilence, the body still festers and continues to spread its disease.

I will continue to aid your allies and family in Therengia until such time as they refuse my aid or you command otherwise.

Your faithful servant,

Lomelinde

Great King Raenilar,

I have served faithfully and without complaint or want for many years. I would not take your time with any light matters so I send this to you after long and thoughtful consideration.

To speak directly to this matter, I no longer have confidence in the Wiseman. His words and deeds have undermined the position and image of the Tribe. I believe the Tribe and your interests would be best served by a change in leadership and representation. I would have taken the steps to encourage him to step aside already, but in deference to your ultimate authority amongst the Tribes, I felt you should be notified to my intent prior to any actions.

I believe, as a warrior, I am in a better position to bring honor and respect to the Tribe. I can offer both the strength and knowledge to promote your interests and continue to foster better relations with your allies.

I will await word from you of the prudence or folly of my thoughts on this matter.

Your faithful servant,

Lomelinde
