As this is being offered as a high-end raffle item, does that mean its mechanics have been updated to allow non-magic users to INVOKE it to set the location?

One or two, maybe even three years ago now, the INVOKE and FOCUS verbs were updated, which broke on items that used them for activation, such as spyglasses. I've bugged it in game and asked about it several times since then. This is your annual reminder, if it hasn't been fixed yet!

At this time non-magic users are still unable to INVOKE the spyglass to set new locations, but they can PEER to gain a snapshot view of any pre-set locations.

I do hear your (renewed) request though and will post here if anything changes.
