[Riverhaven, Town Square]
This square sits in the space between the Town Hall and the municipal pier. It is a large park with the graceful gardens of the Temple set within well-tended lawns. Here and there, benches for the public's use are set out under shady trees, and you can often find an old retired merchant or river captain taking his ease and watching the passing tide of people. You also see a Riverhaven Warden, an armored guardsman, a news stand with a grinning imp on it, a festive meeting portal, a simple bench, the Temple, a mud-splattered chest and a young alchemist student.
Obvious paths: north, east, west.

The guard is clad in a mixture of chain and leather armor, and a dark cape hangs from one shoulder. An emerald green pennant is fastened to the cape and depicts a white gladiola that surmounts the provincial crest of Zoluren.

The Riverhaven Warden strides east, looking around carefully for signs of trouble.

You strut north.
