It's that time of year again! Okay, well, actually that time of year was a few weeks ago but we're finally ready to unleash all the holy tiny cows and sparkly glitter, huzzah!
From this year going forward, the Shard South Bridge Street Faire will now be known simply as the Shard Theater Faire.
No longer will we be accidentally destroying parts of the south bridge area with stampedes and glitter. Instead, Tildi Koski (proprietor and awesomeGnome of: Tildi's Flowers, Tildi's Flowers: Tropical Edition, Tildi's Blooms, and Tildi's Faire Flowers), has purchased land outside of Shard's East Gate, and cultivated a lovely meadow garden for the scene of our Faires.
Which we will still likely trample with stampedes and glitter. Please mind the flowers! (Which are pickable.)
Portals will be provided for everyone to come and enjoy the Faire. There will be returning merchants, many with updated or completely redone stock, as well as a modest number of completely new shops for your spending pleasure. The merchants in attendance have done their best to provide a wide range of pricing, from inexpensive to considerably more. Please note that all items will be priced for Dokoras.
The holy tiny cows will also be returning, and we hope that they enjoy the new fairegrounds, too. Perfect for grazing. Prizes for returning the rambunctious bovines have been updated, although a number of items from previous years will also be handed out.
Gifts! I never tire of hiring the House of the Silk Strings noble artisans to create wonderful things for everyone to receive while browsing the faire, so be on the lookout for random glittery things!
As in the past, the Faire will start on Friday evening with events scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday night, however, the Faire will remain open through Monday so that even more shopping can be had.
Quick rundown of all the things!
Friday, April 22nd, around 9pm EST
- Opening parade and fireworks.
- Faire Gifts! These will be replenished throughout the Faire, so if you find an empty box while shopping, please be patient and try again later.
- Shopping! The shops will now be open, go forth and spend lots of plats.
Saturday, April 23rd, around 10pm EST
GLITTERBASH!
- Portals will be provided to the [undisclosed] location. (We're not being mysterious here, we just don't know which lovely location we'll end up in!)
- Everyone can attend!
- There will probably be more gifts!
- Possible performance to start out the festivities, if we don't run into any unforseen accidents?
- Raffles! Four raffles, with five items per. (20 items total.)
- Price per raffle is 10 Platinum Kronar, please have these in hand.
- Please note, that F2P characters will need to purchase a raffle pass.
- Things that are up for raffle: Hollow's Eve 417 kittens, Hollow's Eve 417 masks, Duskruin rats, siegery sets, limited edition gowns, rare sparkly gems, random quest loot, and various other shiny things donated by Theater patrons.
Sunday, April 24th, around 10pm EST
Night of Raffles!
- Raffle Attendant Ritva will be returning with gobs of new items up for raffle.
- There will be ten raffles, five items per. (50 items total.)
- The price per raffle is going to be 1 Gold Dokora, please have this in hand.
- Please note, that F2P characters will need to purchase a raffle pass.
- These items are a mishmash of all sorts of shiny things, handcrafted by the artisans of the House of the Silk Strings along with some of the merchants who will be in attendance at this year's Faire.
- There will be a limit of one win per person for this evenings raffles.
Monday, April 25th, some point late in the evening? Maybe?
- Keep shopping today, the merchants are loitering and lingering, and aren't quite eager to get back on the road just yet.
- No exact ETA on when the Fairegrounds will close, but it will be very, very late in the evening if they do!
- There may be something happening, I don't know? Random!
Whew, so there you have it! Just some of the things that will go on during our third Faire.
I look forward to this event every year, and I hope to keep coming back again for more holy tiny cows, glitter, glorious food, and all manner of fun times for as long as y'all are eager to attend.
