Gems
sandstrike crystal
Rarity: Merchant
Restricted to HOLLOW EVE ONLY
Must be provided for alterations
Price per stone: 120000 kronar (12 plat kronar)
These gems begin as tube-like masses of vitrified sand, organic debris, or other sediments that sometimes form when lightning discharges into the ground, fusing the material with intense electric heat. Glassy, translucent, and presenting in a wide variety of colors, the crystals are regularly harvested by the Merelew as they wash beneath the waves after exploding into existing upon the shoreline.

Common Description: Tiny bits of organic debris and sediment captured between forked inclusions are visible within the glassy, translucent crystal.

Firulfian crystal
Rarity: Auction
Must be provided for alterations
Price per stone: 750000 kronar (75 plat kronar)
Exceedingly rare and valuable, Firulfian crystals are unique variant of sandstrike crystal, fabled to be the byproduct of lightning blasts from Agani Tayeu'a, staff of the god of elemental magic. Superstitious origin stories aside, this crystal is categorized by trace amounts of elemental Electricity bound within. Too faint to be dangerous, the magical energy tends to manifest as gentle coruscation and short-lived sparks that dance throughout the glassy material at random intervals. Like normal sandstrike crystals, shape and color vary greatly from piece to piece, but all Firulfian crystals can generally be identified by a telltale coruscating and spark-laced aesthetic.

Common Description: Tiny bits of organic debris and sediment highlighted by intermittent flashes from <coruscating/spark-laced> inclusions are visible within the glassy, translucent crystal.

Design Note: Firulfian crystal can be described as 'coruscating' or 'spark-laced' in the TAP and LOOK. For example, TAP: a spark-laced Firulfian crystal ring LOOK: Tiny bits of organic debris and sediment highlighted by intermittent flashes from coruscating inclusions are visible within the glassy, translucent crystal set within the band.

fathomstone
Rarity: Merchant
Price Per Stone: 250000

Fathomstone or, sometimes, displaced fathomstone, is a mineral, but its rarity and exquisitely unusual form have made it prized as a gemstone. It most commonly occurs as octahedral crystals, its already triangular surfaces always bearing a nesting of triangles, sometimes perfectly formed and concentric, other times overlapping haphazardly as if shifted along unseen ley lines — this latter condition changing the name to displaced fathomstone. Fathomstones are most commonly black with a high, glossy luster which sometimes bears a rainbow iridescence, however certain closely guarded techniques practiced by reclusive Earth mages have occasionally produced them in a variety of brilliant colors, always opaque.

Fathomstones were originally discovered in the wake of Moongates gone slightly awry; mages who sliced away rock with their gates would occasionally find crystallized formations of fathomstones left in their wake, though attempts to formally reproduce them proved fruitless. Theories abound about a potential connection to other planes, and the fact that they can become highly magnetized only furthers collectors' curiosity.

Elamiri pearl
Rarity: Merchant
Price Per Stone: 500000
Found only in the Pond of Tears, these rare pearls are created when the scattered flower petals from a Mountain Elf wedding sink to the bottom of the lake to be captured by the oysters that live in its depths. They come in all sorts of floral shades, depending on the petal and the oyster that contains it. Otherwise they come in the same shapes, lusters, and sizes as normal pearls.

Metals
goldenglow glaes
Rarity: Merchant
Restricted to HOLLOW EVE ONLY
Must be provided for alterations
Price per stone: 600000 kronar (60 plat kronar)

Goldenglow glaes is a commercial alloy of glaes, gold, and platinum originally developed by Zoluren nobility as a gift to the Merelew. The exact proportions and methods of its production are trade secret, but when properly smelted the final product is a pale golden metal with a radiant sheen and hint of translucence. Goldenglow glaes is well-suited to both ornamental and martial purposes, and is an especially popular choice for holy armaments, icons, and tools among those who can afford the exorbitant prices demanded for such pieces.

Common Description: A faint translucence hints at layers of depth beneath the metal's pale golden surface washed in a radiant sheen.

oceanic orichalcum
Rarity: Merchant
Restricted to HOLLOW EVE ONLY
Must be provided for alterations
Price per stone: 400000 kronar (40 plat kronar)

Perfected by Merelew alchemists of the Inverted Crucible, blue orichalcum is an exceptionally rare alloy that land-dwellers have attempted to replicate with absolutely no success, hypothesizing that the alloy requires specific undersea conditions for successful smelting. Regardless, properly forged oceanic orichalcum is a splendid metal with rich phthalo blue coloration punctuated by warm red-gold specular highlights.

Common Description: The metal's rich, phthalo blue hue is punctuated by warm, red-gold specular highlights that catch fragmented reflections of their surroundings.

star-kissed kertig
Rarity: Auction
Must be provided for alterations
Price per stone: 1000000 kronar (100 plat kronar)

Rarity among rarities, star-kissed kertig has been embedded with avtalia crystals in its meteoric composition through recent innovations and gainful ambitions of the Traders' Guild's most renown artisan magicians. The tiny bits of vitrified starlight provide a sparkling and luminous contrast to the already handsome silvery-black kertig, and it takes a truly ingenious smith to work the metal without destroying these delicate crystals. With proper care and handling, however, the chilly white avtalia flecks can maintain their luminance.

Common Description: Slivers of chilly white avtalia crystal embedded within the silvery-black metal cast a persistent shine.

Design Note: star-kissed kertig can be described as 'shining' in the TAP and LOOK. For example, TAP: a shining star-kissed kertig ring LOOK: Slivers of chilly white avtalia crystal embedded within the silvery-black metal cast a persistent shine upon the band.

Fabric
deathfiber
Rarity: Merchant
Must be provided for alterations
Price per Square Yard: 50000 kronar
Spun and woven by Eylhaar's devotees from the fibers of blighted flax, deathfiber has a rougher finish than normal linen due to its unusual origins. The fabric takes to dye unevenly, so while it can be found in any color, it will always have a bit of a mottled appearance.

Common Description: Mottled in hues of [pale greys] and [blues], the unusual fabric drapes wonderfully with a slightly rough finish.
