OBF is bringing back the TRADITION of the CEMETERY TOURNEY and we want YOU to come out and engage in a night of FUN and SPIRITED martial competition in the OLD STYLE!

WHERE:

The Crossing Cemetery! From the NE gate of Crossing: east, go path, north, go gate, all the way north.

WHEN:

Friday October 9th, 9pm eastern!

There will be 15 minutes of social time and set-up. That time can be used to get to know the other participants - knowing who you might be working with is key! If you know you're going to participate you can contact Mazrian or Kaelie in advance to let them know your name and circle.

WHO:

ALL adventurers of ALL skill levels are welcome to participate! Rounds will be bracketed so they're as balanced as possible. At least one round will be for adventurers 50th and under, and one round will be 30th and under if there are enough participants. The first two rounds will split a prize pool.

Are you an Empath who wants to fight? No problem! Empaths are a huge asset to any tourneying team.

Want to heal or raise? Come out and be part of the triage team - action is guaranteed, and there will be a pot of plats split at the end as thanks for your help!

Want to watch? Mirrors will be in place to cover the action.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The play area will be the center three rooms of the Crossing cemetery, from the gate to the crypt. North room is NORTH, middle room is MID, south room is SOUTH.

Two captains will volunteer or be chosen by the organizers each round. The captains will roshambo, and the winner will choose to pick first or second. The captain picking first will choose one player, and the captain picking second will choose two. The captains will then alternate picking one player until every player that round has a team.

Once picked, teams will join their captains and separate to NORTH and SOUTH. NORTH team will put up the DEFENDING NOVICE title. SOUTH team will put up the TACTICAL NOVICE title. The teams will have five minutes to spell up and huddle.

At the end of five minutes the organizer will call FIGHT and the two teams will battle until only one team has members standing.

A player may invoke MERCY by gwething MERCY and leaving the play area. Yes, it has to be gwethed. Once MERCY is invoked it is the player's responsibility to remove themselves from the field.

There are a few rules!

1) All adventurers are welcome to participate. What happens in the Cemetery stays in the Cemetery.

2) No outside assistance once the round starts, and no buffs from outside the team.

3) AOEs are fine, but don't AOE the spectators.

4) No invisibility.

5) Don't leave the play area unless you're invoking MERCY or have been killed for the round.
