Hi Iocanthe and staff,

I just claimed a wonderful home, such as a cabin, but this happened:

You tap an unremarkable cabin.
> look cabin
This cabin belongs to you.
>
> move cabin
The unremarkable cabin seems to be sealed from all entry.
[This area is only available to (unknown types).]
> unlock cabin
>
The unremarkable cabin seems to be sealed from all entry.
[This area is only available to (unknown types).]
> open cabin
The unremarkable cabin seems to be sealed from all entry.
[This area is only available to (unknown types).]

So I don't know what I did wrong...but please let me into my house?

Also, can we add homes on the west side of Crossing town? They used to have homes over there but not anymore. Thank you so much.

Sometimes it takes a little time for the game to update. Did you try again after logging out and back in (this sometimes can force it to update)?

If you continue to have problems, please ASSIST in game so a Gamemaster/Gamehost can take a look at the issue. Homes are notoriously finicky, and I apologize they decided to be unhappy with you.

As a temporary measure, I went through and made those homes usable by anyone. I'm going to have to dig deeper (i.e. find a coder to help me figure out why it worked for some people and not for others) but unless I'm 100% sure your home was working, I've changed it for now, because I want people to be able to use their homes!

If I missed one, please do assist so we can get you situated!

Oh yeah, and not EVERY housing area is even on the big list of housing areas. I'm working to get that situated.

We're by no means done with the expansion - if there are places (Like the west side of Crossing) where there used to be homes but aren't, let me know. (I might have to find you in game to have you go stand in the places if there are no homes there now, or if it seems like a place where there could/should be homes but there never have been. Also, some places that haven't had homes before may need approvals from area owners - but I'm not afraid to ask!)

Hi Iocanthe and Staff,

I found that once I upgraded the exterior of the home, I was finally able to enter it.

Also, on another note, the housing in Shard, where do we go to get those descriptions such as "lovely lake villa" etc?

Another couple of housing questions if you don't mind:

1. How do I remove something that I had put on my house? I can't seem to figure this out.

2. How do people ring my doorbell??

3. Is there a way to give up a home other than handing the deed to someone else? I could not find any documentation on how to do this either.

If it's furniture, use HOME REMOVE while inside.

If it's an exterior decoration, stand outside and REMOVE [HOME]. (You need to use the home's noun, not the decoration's noun.)

TOUCH [HOME]. (You need to use the home's noun.)
