When it comes to instruments, where's the line between mechanics? Are percussion instruments a different mechanic from stringed? Are instruments with 4 strings different from those with 5? Stringed instruments that do or do not require a pick to play?

This is exciting. Thank you so much for making this official and putting out information for how to submit! I'm already hard at work.

For instruments, please only use existing ones. New instrument design is something Evike does contests for. :)

As for different surfaces.. not needed. They can be on the same surface and be different types.

Just to clarify, you don't mean they need to be identical to existing shop items, right? We can give them new taps and looks, you just don't want us inventing the omniphonic power dulcimer.

Correct. New taps/looks are perfectly fine. Just make sure you don't give an instrument that usually has 4 strings a LOOK of having 5. We won't adjust the mechanics to suit!
