So when I initially started sketching out my ideas for what a "sword-blade spear" looks like I had no idea that the concept had already existed. I just recently found a couple images which better portray what I'm going for with this alteration.

Right now I have this alteration scroll submitted:
Tap: a lengthened sword-blade spear with a truncated haft
Look: The wooden shaft of this unconventional spear has been cut short to extend just beyond shoulder width distance, and a massive hollow circle of silvery metal has been perfectly formed from out of the haft's end which is coated in the same metal. The spear tip which would normally crown the top of the weapon has been replaced with a cross-guard festooned with a large sword blade. The blade has been lengthened extensively in order to accommodate the shortness of the haft, while the cross-guard helps to maintain the weapon's balance.
Any suggested improvements? I have some sketches I can scan into the computer as well if that would be useful. I want to make this one of my main weapons, along with my dual mirror blades so it is very important to me that I get this right :)
