If you'll look back, you'll see Zad's post about how if you die in a premium only hunting area, NPCs will drag your carcass outside so anyone can get to you.

Sounds like a nice upgrade to me. Better than having to track down another premie to drag your body out.

Guilded or not guilded? I tried with one of my not fresh out of the CM unguilded (Plat) last week. Couldn't get into gargs because he was "too young".

I think that portal has a circle/rank requirement. Try the extra shiprat area with a brand spanking new baby.

What happens with your dropped weapons/shield/etc. when you die and the NPC comes to drag?

It gets dragged with you, just like the NPC draggers in non-premie areas. This isn't a completely new mechanic, it's just newly-applied to premie areas.

Well, technically it is a new mechanic. There may be other things out there that perform similar tasks, but the particular setup now being used in the Premi hunting areas is most definitely new.

And yes, if you drop something from your hands when you die, it should be picked up and taken along with you.

I like this. I've had a character die a few times in gargoyles and I get dragged out right in front of the clerics guild. Very nice.
