Yup. And when spamming combat or whatever, anything at all that is not part of that messaging stands out to me. I guess that's my "ultra-awareness" (super powers FTW!) working for me, but really it is not all that difficult.
I do agree, without some sort of log this all seems really hollow, both the OP's original point and assumtions made by those who reply.

I wouldn't waste your time appealing anything. One of my warnins came is super swarmy gryphons in Rossmans, where there was 4 or 5 of us hunting in the same room. It Would be an understatement if I told you I couldn't see much of what was happening, but it felt fun, until the big yellow message appeared, and I slowly looked back to realize there had been some slight additions to my text, still gryphons doing things, but it was a check.
My own view is that these checks should last longer than 3 minutes, and should be very visible

Hm...
I would seem to me in such a case (and including Fishing scroll! i'm sorry that's never gonna cease to be my pet peeve), the GM himself must be able to see the scrolling text themselves as well instead of sticking to the normal procedure to the letter and if the GM himself can't reasonably read his own script check, then it is reasonable that for the final countdown phase to forcibly pull the person out to a different room for a min and require human response (not the scripted verb) to complete the script check.
I think such a case are rare enough you can justify human interaction requirement, pulling them to a room not worry about triggers. if they auto log slap them with the warning. if they can converse intelligibly then all good.

I'm a bit skeptical that a GM put short, one-line checks in a room with 4-5 people hunting up to four mobs each and never pushed it to the next tier of checks that are much more blatant/closer to when you get an actual warning.

Well, I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt for this one.
I've never been in a specific scenario with 4-5 person hunting, and invasions aren't necessary good comparisons,
But ever tried fishing without text filters? Even if the GM spams you you can fit probably 4-6 lines between the script check spams if you're on a premie account with 2 type-aheads. Compound that to if someone else is in the room doing their own training.

I am always amazed by this as I have never had a scripting check in my many years playing the game. I wonder if it is because I just don't play for more than 2-3 hours at a time? I keep seeing people talk about multiple checks to their characters and just wonder if I am just lucky?

That's likely a big reason. Although if you are in hot spots like red leucs or black leucs you may mysteriously get script checked thrice a day despite having no interaction what-so-ever from anyone (and much easier to prove/track with the conversation window now) because some folks either jump the gun on script policing or are simply frivolously reporting you out of spite that you're in a good spot that they wanted.
Sometimes it's a simple matter of who happen to be in that area.
It was so bad that after being checked 8 times or so in less than a week (passing all of them, mind you, one of which is the Dwarf asking for directions example I cited earlier in this thread thru which I got an RPA from) I decided to just train something else because clearly some one's actively trying to get me via reporting and didn't care if I interacted hence not even trying, but unfortunately there's no apparent resource available to counter such frivolous reports so I end up feeling I was "bullied" out of a great hunting zone.

Elf has been checked 4 or 5 times. I would wager do to my strange times of playing. I have a unique work schedual.

You'd think said GM would learn to stop bugging you without a report to warrant it after you pass the first 2 checks, in that scenario.

Honestly? I doubt they even bothered to remember your name. I know that unless there's a reason for me to do so, I barely remember 1/10th of the people I run into, and I'm sure it's worse for GMs.

Or that it was even the same GMs. For the obvious reason, we all use the same tools and criteria for deciding who to check.

Even worse when you are script checked because some noob reports you while back training
Thankfully I've passed cause I don't afk
But it still bothers me a bit. Especially because the noob who reported you quits a few days later and they are never seen again
I've been an account holder for many many years and spent a good amount of time getting to where I'm at today
Be sad to see all that ruined by some scrub on a free trial
Bottom line: afk isn't worth the pain and suffering for a few quick ranks

How do you know who reported you? Did they tell you they were going to do so or are you just assuming you know who it was? I'm just curious how people are so sure.
