So someone did some tweaking of Gauthus where he wasn't calculated required TM ranks correctly, requiring more then 4 ranks per circle for circles 1 - 10, that's been adjusted at some point.

However, he is now no longer calculating the TM hard requirement. Was just able to circle to 11 with only 37 ranks of TM. Here is a copy/paste of my current magic skills. I suspect he's going off my top magic skills, and ignoring the TM hard req:
