If you have a Grounding Field on set to fire you will no longer be able to have naphtha ignite on you.

... if you're already on fire, well, at least you won't have long to worry about it?

If it doesn't go through core combat, Grounding Field doesn't touch it, same as any other barrier.

Anything that's not core combat needs to specifically be changed to account for it. Might some of those things get added at some point? Maybe, but I wouldn't count on it.
