To test the impact ignite makes on damage, I did 5 sets of 10 jabs with and without ignite. Each set was done on a fresh critter. Ignite was at 12 mana, stanced for potency (160 EM, ~100 util), and gave 'low' fire damage on a halberd whose highest damage catagory was 'heavy.' Hits were mostly 'light hit,' 'good hit,' and 'good strike.' Misses weren't counted

I don't know if a 'good hit' is different from a 'good strike,' so I made two scales: scale 1 assumes 'good strike' is more damaging than 'good hit' and scale 2 assumes they're equal.

10 hits with ignite:
Average average: 2.86, 2.1
first set average
scale 1 2.9

scale 1 3.1
scale 2 2.2
third set average
scale 1 2.8
scale 2 2.1
fourth set average
scale 1 2.9
scale 2 2.1

So it looks like the extra damage is being applied, it's just a bit hard to notice. Maybe it might be more pronounced on a larger weapon with higher mana.

The most i've gotten is mod fire on my tyrium greatsword.
I toss in MOA though, so kinda hard call.
