I have no problem throwing things at melee or pole to missile, but can't get the reverse to happen:

Since you're not feeding enough power into the spell pattern to make it coherent, you quickly work your way to the minimum required.
You trace a careful sigil in the air, shaping the pattern of the Paeldryth's Wrath spell.
You begin to weave mana lines into a target pattern around a heggarangi frog.

The heggarangi frog closes to melee range on you!

Also, typo in the description:

The Paeldryth's Wrath spell channels the unseen currents of air and wind into a ferocious blast of force to overwhelm opponents, causing them to eith stagger away from you or toward you.

Oh yeah not sure if intended.
But reversing PW with AC just does the casters desired effect.
Unless of course you're holding naphtha. Then that goes with it.

Yeah, I actually kinda like this side effect. Though it is important to note that the spell still has to hit the caster in order to accomplish this feat.
