I assume this is going away, as it doesn't work in test (fail message, no change to the pick). Is there any info on what this will look like in 3.0? Are lockpicks going to be individual tools, like a blacksmith's hammer? Perhaps limited use items like a wire brush?

It's not going away, but the ability is reliant on engineering skill in 3.0 which might have caused the failure.

I noticed in Test repairing picks was much more difficult. 260 in mech in Prime and I keep my picks all sparkly new, rarely mess up during a repair. In Test, tried to repair picks, ended up doin more harm then good. This supposed to be?

I believe it was mentioned that it's using Engineering, not mech.

had no problem fixing a pick with around 400 mech and 0 ranks engineering in test.
