Just wanted to bump this issue. Recalling any item that has a planetary gem recall instantly locks scholarship.
While I know that rewriting recall isn't something that can be done that fast, I figure shutting off an insane amount of exp gain might be a quick fix.
The teeth lands a solid (5/23) hit that pokes the teeth into Turul's rear end (more embarrassing than painful!).
