My suggestion is to just make paying your "monthly" vault payment in the currency of the province where you have your vault. It ends up costing about the same, through transaction fees, to convert DOK > KRO then converting the left over KRO > DOK for the 5 gold it takes for rent. I'd gladly just pay 5 gold in DOK to pay my rent in Hib than going through the rigmarole of converting coins to pay all vault rent in kronars. Sounds like a Tuesday release project to me.
