Combat in Crossing Bank without repurcusion 01/05/2021 12:04 AM CST
This post is not targeting anyone, it is simply to bring up a possible bug with the anti-combat mechanics of banks, or at least the Crossing's [Provincial Bank, Teller] room.

The following is the log I saw while standing at the teller window. One character was seemingly stalking another one and was able to ambush them. The two characters were friendly afterwards. What we the observers don't understand is why the bank guards didn't prevent the combat or do anything after it started?

Thanks

PersonA leaps from hiding and ambushes PersonB!
With the precision and elegance of a plunging goshawk, PersonA punches his spiked knuckle at PersonB. PersonB attempts to evade, avoiding only some of the blow. The knuckle lands a heavy strike (7/22) that bruises the left forearm!

Moving with incredible power and control, PersonA punches his spiked knuckle at PersonB. PersonB badly fails to parry with a polished steel parry stick. The knuckle lands a heavy strike (7/22) that thumps painfully off the side of the neck, lightly stunning her!

[Provincial Bank, Teller]
A neat row of barred windows faces you along a marble counter. Several patrons are already busy but there seems to be one window available. The clerk smiles at you and beckons you over.
You also see a freshly painted sign.
Also here: PersonA, PersonB, PersonC and PersonD.
Obvious exits: out.

PersonA retreats from combat.

PersonA retreats from combat.

...

The air shimmers for a moment as PersonA's spell ends and he becomes visible once more.

>
PersonA blinks.
>
PersonA flirts with PersonB. PersonB smiles demurely, giving PersonA her full attention.

...

PersonA gives PersonC some coins.
>
PersonA points at PersonB.

...

PersonC rests her hand on PersonB's arm with a soft smile.

Looks more like a brawling combat bug, vs a combat bug inside the bank. And how said person was invisible in the bank? That one I have no idea on. I didn't think it was possible. But I've been wrong before.

Maybe the invisible person cast an invisibility spell before going in the bank? And yes, the bank mechanics are a little buggy.

Thanks for sharing. The GMs are looking into what may have happened. It's not intended that there by any combat in the bank teller room.

Did you all make a change to this room and/or invisibility?

On the topic, see updates about rooms that prevent hiding and invisibility: http://forums.play.net/forums/DragonRealms/Surviving%20in%20DragonRealms%20-%20Elanthia/Game%20Master%20and%20Official%20Announcements/thread/1933596?get_newest=true
