You didn't say how long you've been gone but:
If you took a break before DR 3.0, make a priority to check out the RESPEC and EXP SWITCH commands. You have a limited window of time to uses these commands upon your return.:

Ingame the DIR command can help you navigate Crossing in the most basic ways if you've forgotten where things are and your Front End doesn't have an automapper.

Ingame you might find other characters at these popular hangouts but the game has changed over the years. People don't congregate in large groups as much as they used to.

If you log into DR and find yourself anywhere but Zoluren, the gwethdesuan network is now accessed by the ESP command. Via the gweth, ask a player Moon Mage for a rift to Crossing and with any luck, someone will summon you there. Just keep an eye out for messaging that includes 'A gaping rift'. When you see that, 'GO RIFT'. You don't have to be in Crossing; it'll just make it easier to re acclimate, get help ingame and run into other characters.

Thank you, Mothra.
It's been 8 years since I wandered in Elanthia. Before that, I wandered into Dragonrealms in the very early days. My biggest concern was how or what I might need to change to again play.
Will look through all the things listed and go from there. I appreciate your help!

Please take in the changes/news at a rate you are comfortable. It's easy to become overloaded by all the changes. Or, at least I was. I walked away from DR a couple of times so confused by the info. (I confuse easily). Anyway welcome!!
