Althought I'm not an internet specialist, I believe functionality could quite possibly be more of an issue nowadays.

It's understandable the search function wasn't available when the internet was first introduced to simu, however, nowadays it should be absolutely mandatory (*especially under a customer-base that is paying monthly*).

When I recently came back, I was completely surprised to see that the forums have remained essentially the same as they were when I once played them and was (at the time) happy to download a song in an hour and a half.

This isn't a bash or anything, but I'm semi-certain that you can access/host/whatever these sort of forums for absolutely free. Literally free. At least, with the experience I have with a few forums I'm a part of...

Literally baffles me that the forums are circa-1996 style.

They may look the same, but we've had a few forums related releases within the past 6 months. I would urge you go read those announcements, of note threaded views. While it sounds like the big thing the original post is asking for is a search function, I am hoping that these recent updates would ultimately lead to this function.

What other things would you like to see beyond a search function? Are the themes and GUI a problem? Given how easily we complain about any change as a community, maybe those features were left alone?
