There's no inactivity timer in SF per se, but there is one in the game itself. Doesn't matter what FE you use, although it seems to carry a tag that tells your system to use your error sound. ctrl+r puts you in rest mode (unless you removed the function yourself), which automatically circumvents the timer by typing 'experience' every so often. However, if you press a key while in rest mode, it automatically gets you out of it.
