How about a way to trade them without having to take it out, give it to him, have him put it away, take his out, give to us.... what about like a barter, where it will automatically switch from his hand to mine, and from my hand to his...

>Trade <card> for XXXX <card>.
>Type ACCEPT CONFIRM for the trade.
You trade your <card> for XXXXX's <card>

Something like that.

I think this is a great idea.. if both people are holding their cases in their right hands. Barter number in my case with person for xx coins... would save a lot of typing. I'm for anything that lets me be lazy!

GM Trading Cards 01/12/2008 01:15 AM CST
C'mon, ya know ya want to. Just imagine the fun and chaos that we would go through to complete a set. You GM's could disclose some private secret that you never wanted anyone to hear about. Who would become the most valuable card?. Who would be the hardest to find? What card would be used to make the caravan wheel make that obnoxious sound?

No. Please, no. GMs are OOC.

i'd rather put statues up with their names and their characters likeness (leaving the gm part off)

I thought the post was a joke.

If it's not a joke, uh, no. The existence of trading cards in-game at all is jarring, much less something as plainly out of genre as a GM. They aren't gods, great mages, or any of that other crap. To our characters, GMs don't exist. So they just don't belong.

People need to work on separating IC and OOC. :\
