I was just wondering what Empaths hunt to get their weapons up after origami.

Also, looking around on elanthipedia, are there any spots where granite gargoyles spawn that don't also spawn living/shock-inducing creatures? Or what's the usual Empathic hunting progression afterwards?

That ladder heavily relies on undead hunting, so it's worth noting that new Empaths will not make very much use out of it until they gain enough skill to be able to cast Absolution along with purchasing the necessary feat, scroll, and foci that goes along with it.

Also keep in mind that most Empaths do not start hunting right out of the gate, either because they haven't yet decided to hunt or because they are waiting until they have access to tools like manipulation or Guardian Spirit. So I would expect the majority of aspiring combat Empaths to meet the modest 80-rank requirement of Absolution.

If not, they can at least climb the defensive ladder until they have enough utility ranks. (Unfortunately, the pure construct ladder has some gaps that would make it difficult to train weapons at certain ranges, such as 50-100, without having high stats or mastery skills to compensate.)
