So second tier gryphons are starting to slow down for me. Not sure where to go after this; I hear heard about celps, not sure. Would prefer to stay on the mainland but curious what you all think my options are.
About 500 shield, 400 Parry, 310 evasion.
Paladin (So atm, HoW, lots of defensive buffs)
390 in my main weapon.

Might be a 3.0 thing, but with ~500 evasion and mid 300 parry/armor/shield and low 300 weapons I do pretty nicely in shalswar/sentinels near Shard.
The teeth lands a solid (5/23) hit that pokes the teeth into Turul's rear end (more embarrassing than painful!).

celps might eat you up with only 310 evasion.

Hrm, even with 500 shield? From what I heard someone with 400's or so did ok in there with buffs. Guess I can try them on test.

I would think with that evasion he would get rolled all over in Zombies, but that is not gonna happen after Saturday.

I'm still looking for a critter I'd be happy with for after 2nd tier gryphons as well.
criteria:
1. must not be in a justice zone
2. must not be undead
3. preferably not dragonpriest for rp reasons
For the following skills:
evasion 529

2he 347
leather 434

With those criteria the black gobs/boars or the apes up in boar clan are your best bet if you can handle them with your shield.

What about Armored Warklin? If this is accurate (http://elanthipedia.org/w/index.php/Armored_Warklin)(not sure if it is) then they should be half step up from gryphons to celpeze?
I tried celpeze and did ok, generally the range of them in Ratha was too much. Fought the younger ones ok, half my weapons couldnt hit the older ones however.
Orcs in the attic in rossmans are sparse, really untrainable. No one seems to hunt there anymore sadly.
Sentinels seem to have too many special attacks and I'm a little leary of them in 3.0. Are they shield blockable?

not really sure whether i'm blocking their attacks or just evading them, but my necro platside didn't have problems with the sentinels with 370ish shield and 528 evasion. The zealots on the other hand... well, those don't die too well. :-)

Warring Axe which has some decent impact. All my weapons are heavily suited to power and weight. I tried fighting them with a lighter more balanced weapon and didnt do as well.

The warring axe is a kertig warring axe from Crimson in Riverhaven. Its about 90 or so stones, so not light. Sterak axes are pretty rare, the patterns for it can only be used so many times and are pretty rare. I would say in 3.0 blunts arnt required but high impact weapons are.
