Awaken Forest destroys spawn 06/22/2020 11:25 AM CDT
Can we PLEASE fix the issue with certain summoned pets destroying the spawn in an area? Right now in zombie head-splitters, I've been standing around for several minutes without a single spawn, only to see the following...

You search the zombie head-splitter.
The head-splitter was carrying a huge clear crystal, 7 copper coins (Kronars), 9 bronze coins (Kronars), and 3 silver coins (Dokoras)!
You quickly pocket the coins. Anything else of interest was added to the spidersilk lootsack.

> [ranged]: skill Offhand Weapon
You open your blue gem pouch and quickly fill it with 1 gem from your spidersilk lootsack, closing it quickly.

With a soft clumping sound, a mutant togball somersaults into view, rolling head over feet. Eventually it stops and unfurls its body to survey its new surroundings.

Finally! A.... useless togball that won't teach.

1 person with a forest spawn was able to keep 12-13 head-splitters locked in their room for SEVERAL minutes. This SERIOUSLY needs to get fixed. It has been an issue for a LONG time now. 11 experience drain pulses, at 20 seconds each, makes for 220 seconds. Almost 4 full minutes without a single spawn.

It's been my experience that having creatures sitting around that don't get killed destroys the spawn for an area. This can happen when people are just dancing, but not killing. Having an alfar out, manipulated creatures, or a forest spawn exacerbates the problem, as they can have additional creatures engaged to them. I've never seen anyone train with zombies, but they might or might not act the same.

I recall an old post talking about this issue and how it was basically impossible to fix, but I can't find it now, and my memory could be faulty.

Barring a fix, yeah, it's bad form to take up space in crowded hunting grounds if you can't actually kill things fast enough.

<<I've never seen anyone train with zombies, but they might or might not act the same.

They don't in my experience playing on my Necromancer. I've never had more than 4 enemies stick around in a room even when I have both my zombie and dirt construct out. That said, that could be for a couple reasons. It might just be because I try to pick hunting areas where other players don't hunt, so it's usually just me generating spawn. And also it could be because they're really good at killing things. If I want to train defenses or weapons I generally have to turn at least one of them off or I don't get enough spawn for myself.
